As a busy Bingo hostess, I’m forever on the hunt for crowd-pleasing prizes. Honey, I could write an entire book on where to shop in NYC for budget knickknacks, baubles and trinkets.
I buy ’em and give away! Into my apartment and then out! But once in a great while an item will tickle my fancy so much that I gotta keep it, at least for a while.
On my way to dine last night at my friend Roberto’s Spanish Harlem abode, I got this pair of adorable seven-inch tall elephant statues ($1.19 each). They’re now on my window mantle, cheering up the whole room.
Until I give some lucky Bingo winner the chance to own them, they’re my new roommates. Don’t I have good taste?
