Great exhibit of work from the 1980s and ’90s by the AIDS activism arts collective Gran Fury at NYU’s 80WSE Gallery.

Most of it was street art.  You’d be walking along and all of a sudden—Pow!—you’d be confronted with these incredibly forceful images and text.

I remember.

Famed British artist Damien Hirst’s collection of  “spot” paintings, currently on sale for big prices at Gagosian galleries worldwide, has been denounced by many critics as a lazy, cynical attempt to make a buck.

Whatever the case, I do like the design.

So imagine my delight when I discovered these Hirst-like plastic plates while Bingo shopping at 99¢ stores in Jackson Heights.

Goodness gracious!  Last night I crashed attended Yoko Ono’s 79th rollicking birthday party at Le Poisson Rouge!

She looks fantastic and gave a great performance—Absolute proof that a lady can be vital and creative at any age!

The club was fantastically decorated including tree branches dangling with messages of world peace.

There was also an incredible hall of mirrors!

Rufus Wainwright gave a captivating performance with his sister Martha.

Among the guests were artist Terrence Koh.

Bigwig curator Klaus Biesenbach of New York's Museum of Modern Art.

Me and Sean Lennon! He played DJ for much of the night and many of the guests were his friends.

What an amazing opportunity to celebrate the Queen Mother of the Avant-Garde!

I portray the host of a low-tech game show set in the near future in which contestants selected from the audience try to answer questions about recent history.  As answers are revealed it becomes apparent that the world has undergone drastic, calamitous changes.  Happiness exists only in memories.

The dressing room was quite lively as the featured act, Chicago rap duo the Freaky Boiz, prepared to make their NYC debut.

Hmm… Nice to be thought of in a positive light, but doesn’t that make sound like an old grandma or a puppy?

Oh well, Happy Valentines’s day, kiddies.  Arf arf!

Among my hosting responsibilities for tomorrow’s BUTT magazine party is introducing the night’s performers, the Freaky Boiz.  The Internet sensations are flying in from Chicago and making their NYC debut!

My other party responsibilities are socializing, socializing, socializing.  And not letting anyone step on the train of my new dress!

As a single gal, I’m more than happy to be working on Valentine’s Day!

This VD I’ll be hosting BUTT magazine‘s holiday bash at the gay latin nightclub Escuelita.

Of all the drag queens in the land, they chose me!  Actually, I’m one of the few DQs to ever to appear in Butt.  Although my interview only made the website (where I was highly praised as”refreshingly untalented.”).

I’m treating the event like my own personal Academy Awards.  I’m getting a new dress made, buying new accessories, scheduling 13 hours to put on makeup… And then I’ll slip into my ratty old house coat and head for the party to be jostled all night long by horny fags.

Glamorous life!

Miracle of miracles!  After mourning yesterday for my lost camera, I got it back!  Rejoice!

Sure enough, it was where I thought I had left it: the Bowery Poetry Club, my last (tipsy) stop on Saturday night.  A million thanks to the kind and selfless soul that turned it in.

At last I can share my vital photos from that fateful night!
