I was beyond fashionably late to gossip journalist Michael Musto’s book release party a couple of nights ago.

But I still managed to catch Mr. Musto and some attendees, plus it was a good chance to check out the Copacabana nightclub, which relocated this summer right across the street from where I live.  You never know when I might want to take up Salsa dancing!

At the Copa, Copacabana, hottest spot north of Havana!

Who dot girl? Me! Checking out party host Michael Musto!

Vanity Society, who reigns as Emperor of the Imperial Court, and Flotilla DeBarge, who reigns as nothing.

In keeping with the title of Musto's new book, performer Dirty Martini stabs herself in the back as she poses with the author and Murray Hill.

After the party I hung out with journalist Gerry Visco who revealed that she buys all her makeup at 99¢ stores in Spanish Harlem. Gee, I didn't think she spent that much!

Latin music legend Celia Cruz smiles down on me and dashing Chaz Kourday.

Final photo of the night: panic stricken Dirty Martini whisked away in a cab. I still haven't heard from her...

Yay,  I’m in an upcoming variety show—”Glamour Ball!”

The format features a combo of burlesque stars and drag queens.

While I’m sure everyone would love to see me strip—ahem—I’m going to stick to comedy.

“May 20th kicks off the 1st Annual  Glamour Ball, an evening of lips, tits & lashes, hosted By Murray Hill & Bianca Del Rio and featuring the crème de la crème of New York City’s burlesque & drag queens packed into Le Poisson Rouge for one glittery showcase of the nations most talented divas!”

Destination: Providence, Rhode Island.  Mission: Emcee the annual drag pageant sponsored by Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design a.k.a. RISD.

Little did I realize that the contestants would be so fierce, with many of the queens high-kicking to current dance hits in skin-tight leotards!

On- and off-stage, everyone was sweet, and camaraderie reigned!

With co-host Murray Hill and Aida of Brown's Queer Student Association, who arranged for us to be there. Thanks, Aida!

On stage: Odyoncé, Affandi and Vanity.

Last year's winner, gloriously goofy Nef-ro-titie.

Posing in the girl's room—Naomi Scandal.

Forsooth! It's hilariously wacky group act Dungeons and Drag.

And the winner is... Odyoncé! She even brought her own queen-size scepter!

Proceeds went to the transgender advocacy organzation Lifelines Rhode Island.   A fun and charitable event!

To my surprise I just found out that I’m in Wikipedia.  It’s not an article about me and my great accomplishments, but instead a photo of me and my Bingo partner Murray Hill, who let me know about our inclusion.

The subject of the article—gasp!—is Transgender, which is defined as “a general term applied to a variety of individuals, behaviors, and groups involving tendencies to vary from culturally conventional gender roles.”

Yep, I guess I qualify.

I have no idea who submitted our photo, which was taken a few years ago when we used to host at Mo Pitkin’s.  I recognize the curtains.

Nice to be included.  Transgender Power!  But if I’m going to be a drag-queen specimen, it would be better to use a photo where I appear more draggy.

I look pretty minimalist for a DQ!
