Yummy, Yummy, Cherry Vanilla!
I’m reading the best memoir —Lick Me by Cherry Vanilla (which was published late last year). Man, oh, man, does she candidly celebrate her life as a nympho rock & roll groupie (and a poet, singer, actress, etc.) during the sexual revolution of the 1960s and ’70s. I Admit It—True Confession Time—I Had a Nose Job!
After all these years, I finally decided to go ahead and have the chop!

On my list of cultural things to do and see: Tomoaki Hata’s current exhibit of Tokyo drag queens. Although the work is from the early 2000s, some of the portraits seem to reflect the haunting shock and mourning of current Japan. Sadly, life imitates art.
