Last night I saw the recently released indie film Moonlight, a coming-of-age story about the devastating impact of societal homophobia and parental neglect. The acting is fantastic, not a false note in the entire film, and there’s buzz about Academy Award nominations.  I really loved it.

My favorite genre of films is stark realism, and it was a great night at the cinema!
