How randomly surreal!  Last night I found myself, of all places, at the Empire State Building for of all things, a Lady Gaga impersonation contest.

The party, in the ground-floor Empire Club, wasn’t exactly mobbed, but fun still ensued with a ridiculous cast of drag queens, all of them much, much older than Gaga herself (who was performing at nearby Madison Square Garden).

The eyes reveal all.  DJ Miss Guy nodding on downers, Sherry Vine flying high on uppers.

All of Sherry’s fans showed up.

Get ready twist-off bottle—Sherry’s ready to pucker!

A startled Lady Bunny wakes from snoring.  Time to emcee the show!

Miss Guy shooting the evil eye when we requested some tunes made after 1985.

Bunny and Sherry begged me to sit with them to make it look like they were popular.

Sherry’s loose “tuck” helped distract from her “singing.”

The Gaga lookalike competition was not exactly stiff.

The winner received two tickets to see Gaga in concert.  Now don’t you wish you had entered?

WHAT: Last night’s fab bash thrown by chic “transversal style magazine” Candy, which is published in Madrid.

WHY: Kiss goodbye to NYC Fashion Week.

WHERE: Le Bain, the rooftop bar and lounge at the Standard Hotel, offering gorgeous skyline views!

Rumi Missabu, right, of the legendary gender-bending hippie troupe the Cockettes, was in town from San Francisco.

Fashion plate Sophia Lamar and Candy founder and publisher Luis Venegas.

Touchy-feely performers Nath Ann and Justin Bond.

Photographer-artist Jeremy Kost (thanks for the invite!) and madcap journalist Gerry Visco.

Paul Mpagi Sepuya, photographer of sexy guys and currently an artist-in-residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Darn, my photo came out blurry of this cute Spanish duo—Pepino (Check out his great party pix) and La Crawford, star of Candy‘s premiere issue.

Another Spanish beauty.

Me and the always amazing Amanda Lepore.  Guess which one of us is really a man!

Kenny, eternal queen of the nightlife.

They chronicle the trannie scene—Samara Riviera, left, and Sassy.

Stylist Cameron Cooper and leather designer Zana Bayne.  She shot some fab pix of the event, too!

It was a wild night!  Muchas gracias Candy!

As Sylvia London and I left my apartment building last night a few snowflakes were falling.  How sweet.

We were on our way to a party for Olympic skater Johnny Weir‘s new book, Welcome to My World. (Thanks for the invite, Spin Cycle!)

I think Johnny is fantastic.  He exemplifies the flamboyant self-confidence of a new queer generation!  I was determined to get a photo with him.

Mission accomplished!

As the bash wound down, someone told Sylvia and I about the debut of new gay party, just a hop and a skip away.

So we might as well walk, right?  Even though the snow was piling up by this time.

At first, our little jaunt was a playful adventure.

Look, we're snow hookers!

But being outside soon lost its appeal.

Soggy Linda.

Unfortunately, the party did not meet our high standards of fun.  So we did what any smart drag queen would do—We hailed a cab!

Our destination was G Lounge‘s Boybox party, which features an accomplished ensemble of striptease artists.

Sylvia found her favorite.

As an extra bonus, the hostess was flawless sexpot Amanda Lepore, who told me she was recently a guest judge on Austria’s version of “Top Model.”  She’s such a celebrity.

Amanda speaks!

Then Sylvia and I trudged through the snow in our high heels one last time to catch taxis home.

Today my calves are killing me!  Johnny Weir, I know your pain!

(Huffingtonpost posted a photo of me, Sylvia and one of the gay blades from The A-List.)

(See more pix from the night on my Facebook page.)

I like this political action because it’s so wacky!

Next Magazine reports on a new and unusual wedding ceremony that occurs every Saturday at Times Square.   All the participants are drag queens—the bride, the groom and the organizer, Kitten Withuwip, who plays pastor.

According to Ms. Withuwip, it’s a way to help convince Middle American tourists that same-sex matrimony is A-Okay.

Ha!  Do you think the tourists will get the idea that all gay marriages are like this?

Kitten flanked by Azraea (left) and Frosty Flakes.

It’s certainly more colorful than the guy-guy and gal-gal weddings profiled in the NY Times!

Volunteers are welcome to get married.  Finally, it’s my chance to get hitched—to another drag queen…?!  I wonder if Lady Bunny is busy on Saturdays?  Gag!

Bravo to you, brave activist queens!  I’m definitely going to check it out!  Here are the details.
