Still waiting to make a decision about when to throw another Dippity-Do-Drag.
But that might take a while…
So here’s the video from the party now! (Thanks Derek!)

As long as I’ve been writing about old Times Square lately…
This past weekend I caught The Ultimate Drag Off, a weekly pageant fabulously hosted by my pal Sweetie at the Times Square Arts Center.
Hoo-boy, if those Arts Center walls could talk! The space used to be the porn palace Show World. And I used to work there!
“Big Top” was the name of the party I promoted for a short while—I brought the drag shows, management supplied the go-go boys—in a gorgeous showroom with zillions of flashing lights. The rest of Show World, all four floors, was an X-rated playground, and it was hilarious and thrilling to be part of such a naughty atmosphere.
The places may change, but the drag queens endure forever and ever…
I’m thrilled to report that Dippity-Do-Drag was a gay old time! Good nutty fun was had by all!
Please do it again, begged the crowd. And you know what, I just might.
But I think I’d format the night a little different…
While it was a blast having so many great performers, next time I’d pare down the stage acts. I was so busy organizing and hosting shows that I barely got to mix and mingle.
And there were so many fun people at the party I wanted to chat with!

Is The Brady Bunch the only inspiration for this cute invite for an upcoming party at Eastern Bloc—a birthday bash for promoter Eddie Black?
Or did a classic nightlife flyer from days of yore influence the design?
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present Exhibit A!
No shade! I’m just saying!
Took a trip down memory lane yesterday when I met for a tea-time chat with long-time nightlife promoter Chip Duckett.
Among the topics: Queerdonna, the obese Madonna-obsessed impersonator who Chip used to hire quite frequently in the mid-1990s. Talk about a novelty act!
Queerdonna, who was really a young Greek-American guy from Queens, eventually faded from the scene and died in 2000, with some news accounts reporting her weight at over 500 pounds.
I got to know her a little when she and I and some other New York queens were flown to Toronto to be part of a daytime talk show.
Her exposed titties causes quit a stir with the audience.
After the filming, some of us went out to eat, and I remember she picked up the check. That was nice of her.
Guess where Linda is spending Valentine’s Day? And you can join her! Check it out
